Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1st, 1994. He's the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where he made his own music group with three classmates, which he identified as the White Eskimo. In 2009, they took part in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they were winners. Though he's been attracted to music, despite the fact that he had a passion for it, he was looking at becoming a lawyer as well as a an physiotherapist. To help support his family, he worked a brief period of time working for a local baker. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his group was forced to break up. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles become part of the group One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. During the competition the band performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. The group was however placed third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles' group didn't win, but Cowell did pay 2 million pounds One Direction for them to make a deal with Syco.
