Lee Roy Selmon blends the merits of football scholarship in his home with volunteering in the community. He is the youngest child of Lucious Selmon and Jessie Selmon, who had him raised on their farm in Eufala. In football, he played with three of his brothers from Oklahoma. Three of them were All-Americans. In 1973, Lucious Jr. Dewey and Lee Roy were starters. Lee Roy was named the most offensive lineman in the United States by Outland and Lombardi Awards. He won two championships and 32-1-1 in his three seasons as Oklahoma's main man. As a National Football Foundation Scholarship-Athlete, Selmon was given the opportunity to receive a scholarship in his third time in the year 1975. Selmon holds a bachelor's degree in educational studies. Lee Roy's fourth service consisted of ten hours a week as a volunteer in the college. In Tampa the Buccaneers, he was a player for the Buccaneers nine seasons and became an all-pro. Also, he began a career in business. The year 1988 was the first time he began working as an Account Relation Manager at First Florida Bank in Tampa. He was employed by the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute and the Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It was not a surprise when, in 1982, the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy among the top 10 young stars across the country. Lee Roy was 6'2" tall and weighed 265 lbs during his time playing college football. He was a captain in 1975. led the squad.
